Clothes Mending Workshop

With clothes designed to fall apart and be replaced, learning how to mend your favorite garments keeps them out of the landfills longer while saving you money. You’ll learn the basics of mending, both on woven and knit fabric, by hand stitching or by machine. Hand sewing experience is helpful, but not required. You are encouraged to bring your own item of clothing in need of repair, but fabric for mending samples is provided.

Lathe Turning Workshop: Turn a Bowl

Learn how to turn small (8-10 inch) bowls. You'll start with material preparation and sharpening, and then do some activities to challenge your cutting touch.
