Are you tired of your weight yoyoing and want to learn how to fuel your body, boost your immune system and decrease inflammation and lose weight? This course will teach you the importance of eating healthy carbs, proteins and fats while also teaching you how to combine foods in a way that will promote fullness and weight loss. Students will be taught how to read food labels and compare foods so that they can make healthy food choices. Strategies for weight loss, food substitutions, problem solving and recipe sharing will be provided in a supportive environment.

Acting For Non-Actors

Have you ever wanted to step on to the stage and try acting. Come experience a fun, low pressure, acting opportunity. Students will learn the basics of memorizing lines and finish with the ability to perform your own monologue solo. Students will grow through exercises and games geared to getting you out of your shell and onto the stage.

Students will learn the basic concepts and writing system of the Arabic language, while also focusing on how to use modern Arabic in everyday life. Course topics include greetings, introductions, asking for and giving personal information, and basic vocabulary. The fundamentals of pronunciation will also be introduced.

Ballroom Dancing For Couples

This class introduces couples to basic ballroom dance skills that will help them enjoy a night out, or prepare them for special events such as weddings, anniversaries, or social gatherings. The class also helps boost a student’s confidence by teaching them to look great while dancing to styles such as waltz, foxtrot, cha-cha, rumba, and merengue. Requirement: A dancing partner. Class payment is per person.

Chalk Painting Kitchen Cabinets/ Furniture

Is there furniture in your home that needs a fresh look? Been dreaming of a new kitchen? Students will learn the simple Royal Chalk 4 step system for painting your furniture. Students will learn how to create any look you desire, vintage, cottage, antiqued, or modern and in any painted color you desire. Wood, MDF, Laminate can all be painted. No experience required! Visit the site to get an idea of the beauty you can create. Bring a VERY small portable piece of furniture or wooden craft to paint and a one cup sample of flat low-primer paint. We love the Home Depot BEHR Premium Plus flat sheen 8 ounce samples. (Please, no chairs with spindles.)  Wear your painting clothes or an apron and bring a small drop cloth. All materials, chalking supplies and tools will be provided.

Comedy Writing Class

Does everybody tell you that you are funny? In this course, students will focus on the techniques and science of comedic writing. Taught by a professional comedian, you will learn how to write one-liner jokes, how to write comedic stories and how to write monologues. This course is for people interested in Stand Up Comedy, Late-Night writing and anyone interested in including comedy in their writing.

Conservative Investing

Some say the best offense is a good defense! Students will learn about a variety of investments that focus on income more so than growth, ranging from ultra-conservative to dividend paying stocks. The class will focus on preserving capital while still achieving investment returns. This class is best for a retiree, soon-to-be retiree, or anyone with a conservative outlook.
