Argentine Tango for Beginners

Argentine Tango is an improvised dance, a conversation without words with someone you may not know. This class covers basic concepts to get beginnersdancing: connection, musicality, turns, pivots, the cruzada, leading andfollowing, footwork, codes. It also introduces three styles of Tango:tango, vals, and milonga. Please bring shoes with soles that slide. Nopartner needed.

Ballroom Dancing For Couples

This class introduces couples to basic ballroom dance skills that will help them enjoy a night out, or prepare them for special events such as weddings, anniversaries, or social gatherings. The class also helps boost a student’s confidence by teaching them to look great while dancing to styles such as waltz, foxtrot, cha-cha, rumba, and merengue. Requirement: A dancing partner. Evidence-Based Tai Chi And Qigong: Introduction

This program is the product of Dr. Yang Yang’s extensive training of the Chen style and his research studying the mechanisms and benefits of Tai Chi and Qigong practice. The program focus is “the most important aspects of traditional training that will yield the greatest measured benefit in the shortest amount of time” and consists of essential static and dynamic qigong exercises and seven forms that are challenging yet adaptable to suit all levels.

Global Dance Party

This dance fitness course includes the music of salsa, swing, merengue, Argentine tango, Africa, the Middle East, and more. Students will bust stress, boost energy and burn calories while using traditional and unique moves to fabulous music. Improvisation is encouraged. This course also includes 15 minutes of core work to support your back, your dance, and your life. Bring a mat, sneakers and a water bottle. Drop in/register at any class. Hatha Yoga

As a system of physical and mental self-awareness, hatha yoga helps students to reduce stress and increase flexibility in a noncompetitive way. Students will learn basic yoga stretches that help to correct body alignment, improve posture, increase awareness of breathing patterns, and help to integrate the mind with the body. Students will also be introduced to meditation. The course is designed for all levels, and especially friendly for beginners. Great for toning the body and relaxing. Requirements: A towel, thick blanket or mat, and loose, comfortable clothing.

Latin Dance Basics (Cuban, Salsa And Kizomba)

Let Your Yoga Dance

This wonderful practice is for EVERY body. Participants will expand their joy by moving through their chakra system to music. Students do not have to be professional in dance or yoga, just bring a positive attitude.
