Portland Adult Education

Portland Adult Education is offering Introduction to Fly Fishing-The Essential Elements taught by local Maine Registered Guide Scott R. Whitaker. This seven-session class will cover casting, flies, equipment, beginner entomology, knots, reading water, and rigs. This is a hands-on class so be ready to participate. We are offering two levels of tuition. The basic level includes Orvis' Guide to Beginning Fly Fishing by Tom Rosenbauer. The advanced level includes an Orvis Encounter Fly Rod set-up and the Orvis' Guide to Beginning Fly Fishing by Tom Rosenbauer.
