Portland Adult Education

Please note, this course is part of Education Academy within Portland Adult Education.

This is a project-based class taught using Google Meet and Google Classroom. Your final project is to write a lesson plan, and teach twenty-minutes of your lesson plan to our class. Your lesson plan will:

• Promote Student Engagement
• Promote Inclusivity
• Promote Outcomes-Based Learning
• Use Differentiated Instruction
• Use Social & Emotional Learning
• Demonstrate Backwards Design

Readings, discussions, weekly journal reflections, and peer-teaching will be used to assess your learning.

Prerequisites: CASAS score of 225+, approved application, and/or current employment in Portland Public Schools
