Portland Adult Education

The goal of this in-person course is to prepare students to meet requirements to enroll in a Medical Assistant program in future semester(s) with our partner Gray-New Gloucester Adult Education. Students focus on reading comprehension, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and basic math and receive individualized advising support. After completion of this pre-apprenticeship, students interview for a space in a Medical Assistant training program.

Prerequisites: CASAS Reading score 229-234, high school diploma or equivalent, approved application, US work authorization preferred but not required, interview
