Students in this class will develop techniques and skills that are conducive to building keyboarding speed with a high level of accuracy, including the number keypad. Students will also learn correct techniques of hand placement, proper posture, and ways to avoid repetitive motion problems. Beginning students will learn the keyboard and should be able to type 20 to 30 words per minute (WPM) by course end. Students that already know the keyboard will practice timings and progress to 45 WPM.

Medical students will focus on situations unique to the medical occupation. This course is considered the “capstone” to the Office Skills Certificate Program and thus must be taken at the end. Prerequisites: Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

QuickBooks, Advanced
